The standards for these grades emphasize networks and the idea of perspective. The geometry customary doesn't appear to be developing the associated spatial considering ideas in a fashion that is tightly coupled to the requirements implicit in the science standards for the parallel grades. There is a few improvement of the concepts of coordinate programs on spheres and polar coordinates, which could be drawn upon by a science trainer within the Earth science activity relating to winds and ocean currents. The geometry normal for center school and high school requires college students to "specify places and describe spatial relationships using coordinate geometry and other representational programs" and to interact in "visualization, spatial reasoning, and geometric modeling". The understanding of coordinate systems could be used to facilitate the projection of the three-dimensional sphere into two dimensions, but the science teacherwould have so as to add the complicating elements of excited about what is going on in a rotating coordinate system, one thing not addressed within the geometry normal.
