I recently started taking uridine 300mg one-two times a day. I also take NAC 1800-2400mg a day. I added acetyl l-carnitine, b complex and omega 3 to subvert any problematic long term effects of uridine. I feel much better and my depressive symptoms are almost gone. It’s been about 3 weeks now, taking this cocktail. My questions is how long can I take uridine, safely? and shd I take one 300mg capsule w lion’s mane or stack w/another nootroopic to protect against long term adverse effects or switch it off with another nootropic or stack if so I don’t create any medical problems? If that’s the case stack with which nootropic or switch to which nootropic and when to switch and switch back? Thanks so much. These answers are difficult to find.

http://molpharm.aspetjournals.org/content/molpharm/88/2/220.full.pdf
“At P2Y2 and P2Y4 receptors, UMP and UDP are inactive, but some of their analogs activate these receptors as well as UMP analogs at P2Y6R”

So, regarding Health Concerns 2) Heart Scarring. Looks like it is only an issue when consuming UTP.

Sometimes facts as they are presently known are disappointingly ambiguous when it comes to decisions about what to use or not to use. It seems uridine exists in that no man’s land at this time.

This is the most comprehensively researched and referenced article I could find online about Uridine UMP. Most blog articles are simply anecdotal or just repeat what they’ve read on other sites without any scientific references. This article is a thorough overview of uridine in the literature, and while each statement is not necessarily analyzed here, all statements are referenced to lead you into your own investigation. Not at all disappointing.

Uridine monophosphate seems to have numerous benefits which I would like to explore, but I do not want to increase the risk of cancer. How can Uridine monophospate be taken without increasing risk of cancer? ie. supplementally. Is this by keeping dosage below a certain level or by combining with other nutrients? Thank you.

I agree to some extend, but they are still helpful… They give a good overall overview but they lack in the aspect of getting a deeper understanding of the substance and how it works.. I feel like they should be some kind of sidebar material.. These articles are also less likely to be affected by tunnel vision..

Why are they disappointing?

I’m trying to build up a supplement database.
