For me they’ve been game changers. I started with low doses of piracetam 8-9 years ago. I noticed a nice uplift in motivation, stress reduction, confidence. After gaining a comfort level with my tolerance and reaction, I added in a low dose of aniracetam. This added a sociability improvement to go with the other improvements I was experiencing with piracetam alone. I wasn’t unsocial previously, but these two racetams together took things to another level. It was fun to go out and socialize again. A few years later I tried oxiracetam, phenylypiracetam, and pramiracetam. Of these three, the oxi and phenyl were quite effective. Nowadays I rotate across piracetam, aniracetam, oxiracetam, and phenylpiracetam and love the effect. By rotating I get slightly difference effects spanning motivation, stress reduction, and sociability. And I can avoid any tolerance issues that might otherwise came up. In sum, these have been huge quality of life helpers for me. I haven’t experienced any negative side effects and would recommend anyone looking for a boost. Not saying everyone will experience the same effects I did, but if you’re struggling with stress, anxiety, hesitation with socializing, I’d recommend giving them a try.

It’s a subsidiary of Piracetam – the principal ‘shrewd medication’ – and was first evolved in the last part of the 1970’s by a Swiss-based drug organization. While Piracetam is water-dissolvable, Aniracetam is fat-solvent. This distinction in solvency empowers Aniracetam to cross the blood-mind boundary more effectively than Piracetam, and is viewed as up to multiple times more strong!.

I used it for more than a month and I built up a bit of tolerance towards it. I started using 250-300mg daily and the one day I was pushing myself in gym with shoulder training and my right shoulder felt uncomfortable later that night. When I woke up the next day my shoulder was swollen and I was in so much pain that I almost started screaming for help because I could barely move or use my right arm. Went to the Doctor and did some scans and one of my shoulder muscles were swollen up to 3 times it’s original size. He asked me how I could’ve endured so much pain for such a long time and we just couldn’t figure it out. After a few days of I started looking up Phenypiracetam effects and it’s banned in plenty of sports because it increases your pain tolerance with a big margin. Phenypiracetam definitely will increase your stamina and pain tolerance as well as heat and cold tolerance. I also live in South Africa and I can agree that when it comes to day to day heat and cold my mind can cope in any situation with ease.

That would be 144 grams. My large container is only 45 grams and I take .9 grams per dose.

Please Brett, you “felt” they were not safe? That’s like someone afraid of flying talking about airplanes not “feeling” safe. It reminds me of the “natural is better” fallacy. If you have any scientific data, please include it. I welcome a discussion but saying they didn’t feel safe is killing the discussion, not contributing. Piracetam has been safely used since the ’50s, for epilepsy.

The studies indicate that when steroid biosynthesis is chemically suppressed by aminoglutethimide, another agent altogether, and aldosterone receptors are blockaded by epoxymexrenone there is no memory enhancing effect. These are no results of racetams. They counteract the affect of racetams, indicating a common mechanism of action.

I didn’t feel racetams were beneficial or safe. I view them as second tier research chemicals from decades back, not cutting edge nootropics.

Have you changed your views on nootropics? I remember not too long ago you seemed to be against them especially piracetam.
